A well-tailored blazer is the best thing for women; it can create different looks for different occasions. If you wear a blazer with a matching skirt, that’s a great business look. If you wear it over matching pants, it’s a look that goes from business to unscale pleasure. You can also give a sharp new twist to a casual look by pairing a blazer with jeans or leather pants. The fabrics: Italian fabrics, stripped fabric and sandwash fabric are ruling the jacket silhouettes. Designer Shantanu Mehra gives out some styling tips, “Chic corporate wear will be very strong. Jackets with interesting printed linings will be in demand.” The Cut: Short-sleeved cropped jackets are hot. “Trapeze, swing and A-line shirts and jackets are fresh and fun to wear. Belted clothing is back, so don’t forget to wear a trendy belt with your jacket. Impressive detailing and exciting motifs will give jackets an all together different look. Sporty jackets also look modern and trendy,” adds Shantanu. Also, it’s very important to wear a long length fitted top underneath the jacket. This will draw attention to your waistline, give you shape and re-establish that long lean line.”The Colours: Designer Ritu Kumar highlights the colours of the season, “red, emerald green, soft lavender, deep purple, yellow, brown, gray and classic black. Also leopard prints will be huge.”The Accessories: The game of winter dressing is not over yet; accessories can make or break your look. Shiny details and big metal buttons are going to be popular in coats. Clutch bags, classic knee-high boots, trendy hats, belts, brooches, scarves, shawls and stoles will get you the entire spotlight.
